Meanwood Beck
River levels are rising on Meanwood Beck as a result of heavy rainfall through this afternoon and into the night of Thursday 5th December 2024. Areas most at risk include Meanwood Beck including properties on and close to Sheepscar Street, Regent Street and Saint Peter's Street.
Further rainfall as well as strong winds are forecast associated with Storm Darragh on Friday and Saturday. This could cause river levels to remain high for several days.
Start acting on your flood plan if you have one. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses. We are closely monitoring the situation.

Meanwood Beck
River levels remain high on Meanwood Beck and Gledhow Beck following this afternoon's thunderstorms, but are now starting to fall steadily. Rainfall is expected to gradually die away this evening and overnight, therefore levels should continue to fall going into tomorrow, Tuesday 7th May 2024. We will continue to monitor the situation closely.
Surface water is likely to continue to affect low spots on roads for some time - please remain aware of your surroundings and avoid walking or driving through flood water.

River levels are rising rapidly on Meanwood Beck and Gledhow Beck due to heavy rainfall and thunderstorms.
River levels are expected to remain high through the evening and flooding of properties is possible.
Further thunderstorms and heavy showers are forecast throughout the evening but should ease overnight.
